BIOBASED 1701 INSULATION SPRAY FOAM
BioBased 1701s Insulation is a water blown, two part, closed cell, soy based spray foam used to make our eSIPS panel system. Partnering with eSIPS, BioBased Insulation markets building products that allow residential and commercial structures to be a more sustainable and energy efficient solution. BioBased 1701 spray foam seals a structure's thermal envelope, making it is more energy efficient, healthier, more comfortable and durable than traditionally insulated homes. The 1701 insulation spray foam is also GREENGUARD® certified for children and schools making this a healthier choice for insulation due to the low emission levels of the product.
In addition to our soy-based eSIPS structural insulated panel system, we are proud to offer spray and soy foam BioBased Insulation, which is only available through a global network of trained, certified dealers. Serving the greater New England region, eSIPS administers the first bio-based and water-blown spray foam insulation to be ICC-rated (ESR 1383). BioBased Insulation continues to develop new and more sustainable insulation products that use renewable ingredients, such as Agrol - a 96% pure bio-polyol - to replace a portion of the petroleum that's found in traditional spray foam insulations. BioBased Insulation products are only available from a network of installers who have been trained in not only spray foam application but also building science. With our partnership with BioBased and becoming a BioBased Insulation Certified Dealer, eSIPS now offers an energy efficient and environmentally responsible insulation option for our customers and network of builders.

HOW DOES SOY FOAM INSULATION WORK?
BioBased Insulation's family of products are installed as a liquid that quickly expands, filling each crack and void creating a sealed thermal envelope that significantly reduces air infiltration. When used with other responsible building products, homeowners will notice a savings of up to 40-50% on their heating and cooling bills. Because it utilizes an annually renewable resource, the polyurethane insulation also supports farmers and reduces our dependence on foreign oil. BioBased Insulation's current products include BioBased 501, a .5 lb, open-cell spray foam; and BioBased 1701, a closed-cell, 1.7 lb spray foam. Both products use water instead of ozone-depleting chemicals as the blowing agent during application.
