eSIPS is a panelized home division of timber frame designer and manufacturer Davis Frame Company. To expand its offering to the residential building market, we developed a panel home division to appeal to those that want to build a conventional style custom home with energy efficiency in mind. Partnering with the company BioBased Insulation, the new panel enclosure system called eSIPS (Energy Smart Insulated Panel System) uses foam produced from soy beans grown in the United States, rather than petroleum-based chemicals, to create a complete thermal envelope for the homeowner. Soy is a renewable resource; the growing and processing of soy employs people in the United States and its use in foam insulation lessens our dependence on imported oil. Utilizes the new DOW Styrofoam SIS sheathing for the exterior skin or XPS insulation.
The SIS sheathing provides additional R-value to our eSIPS while combining structural, bracing and weather barrier properties.
The SIS sheathing consists of recyclable materials (80 percent post consumer content). eSIPS is also available with FSC certified wood products, earning additional LEED points for your LEED certified project.
